Hello!
I am graduating in December and I have the summer off so I've begun looking at potential places that I'd like to work.
I'm thinking I'd like to do a nurse residency because I want to work in a pediatric Critical Care setting (PICU or Peds ER) and I feel like having that whole year with someone helping me and that I can ask questions without feeling like an annoying dummy.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here was looking at Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency for February 2018? I'm not from Nashville, but I'm also not too far away as I'm from North Alabama. I'd appreciate any tips about the residency or about Nashville!
Thanks
My GPA is actually a lot lower! My overall GPA is 3.0 and nursing is 2.5. I've heard that they'll take accelerated BSN students and I don't see why they wouldn't prefer that. I think that's pretty awesome! Shows you've got experience and are willing to work hard for whatever you want.
Thanks! I haven't heard anything yet. I'm wondering if they're waiting until the extension time period closes on 9/29. Has anyone heard back anything if they didn't get an interview? Wondering if I should expect a 'no' email as well.

Well I guess that answers my question - I have an interview on Wednesday!
Just made this username because I'm on the edge of my seat waiting and wondering... I interviewed last Tuesday for the Peds ED and I haven't heard anything yet has anyone else?
How was your interview? I hear they ask all behavioral questions. I'm interviewing on thursday for a peds unit. Any insight on specific interview questions or how many they ask etc? :)

Any idea on how many they're accepting total nurse residents?
