Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2018

Published

Hi everyone! My name is Tori. I created this page for those interested in the summer 2018 nurse residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. We can use this page as a place to share application tips, updates on the status of applications/interviews, tips for the entire application/interview process, etc. And of course, it's great to speak with others going through the same experience!

Has anyone that has received an offer heard anything about the pay?

Has anyone heard from picu? I believe they did all interviews last week and was hoping to hear by this week!

Has anyone interviewed for the Adult Cardiac Stepdown track? I have mine this week and am really nervous!

I received an offer for the CVICU!

Those who have offers already - do they tell you the shift (am or pm)?

Congrats to everyone hearing things so far! I finally had my interview this morning. They had asked me on the phone weeks ago to Interview for SICU or MICU but today was for Adult Acute Surgery Track so that was a little confusing but still very exciting none the less.

FYI For those interviewing for that track, Tracy said that they should start notifying people around the 5th of April.

This is not really related to jobs, but have people started applying for the TN BON? I am applying for a TN license by examination because I am from a non-compact state. Most of the application is straightforward, but I am a little confused by the passport photo signed by Dean/Director of school portion. For anyone that has done it, any advice? Does it need to be the original photo or can I scan it in and then have them sign it?

Call the TN Board of Nursing and ask them.

Hi,

I have an interview next week for the behavioral track. Can anyone tell me what the starting salary is, and what the educational benefits are? The benefits are hidden behind an employee login wall!

Hi everyone,

I just found this group and I also interviewed this morning for Adult Medicine. I am very nervous, not sure how it went but fingers crossed I did great!

Hopefully I will be meeting many of you soon!

Those that accepted offers - are you day or night shift??

They have not told us yet, they just said that more information would be out in May. I would assume Nights
