Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2013

This thread is for those who are applying for the nurse residency program at Vanderbilt. I thought this would be a great place to keep up to date Inge selection process and make connections with new friends and colleagues. I am currently in my final year of nursing school at UCCS in Colorado. My goals are to be accepted for the adult critical care track an then return to school and become a CRNA. I know the job market is very competitive, especially for residency programs. I completed the online application 2 days ago and am waiting to hear back for more instructions. Good luck to everyone:)

Now that the cats are out of the bag, any guys moving to Nashville? I'm in need of future roommates!

I already live in nashville and have a roomate. The closer to downtown you go, the more expensive the apartments are.

I'm so torn, I have an offer in the PICU here but was also accepted into the residency.. I'm worried that I'll end up with a unit I dislike at Vandy/ nervous about picking up and moving to a new city.. I'm use to bigger cities so this will be a huge changee if i choose Vandy..

Got off waitlist for adult acute care/progressive care!!!

But I also have an offer from local hospital for ICU position, so I'm torn just as well!!!! :unsure:

Not sure what to do!!!

I was accepted for the adult acute care/progressive care track, but turned it down for another hospital. It was a long weekend comparing pros and cons of each and a hard decision to make, but hopefully it'll work out for the best.

I hope someone great got off the waitlist and took my position!
