Vanderbilt MSN 2018

Published

Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

Anyone know if financial aid / merit aid / gift aid is included in whatever letter or announcement we get about acceptance?

Same, however they asked that I not repeat anything from my application responses. I told my story of why I wanted to purse psych in my summary. I definitely felt like I repeated my responses.

I'm in the exact same boat. I'm pretty sure if you got into BC, you will get into Vandy too! I also applied for OMTA which i cannot decide is a pro or a con for Vanderbilt. I talked with them at length about working with them to find a clinical site and being from PA, i have top quality facilities all around the state but Boston has some of the best healthcare facilities as well. I guess the unknown with the OMTA is getting to me a bit but I love the idea of living in Nashville. Accepted students day is March 3 but BC's deposit is due Friday so it is all very nerve wracking. Basically, I'm completely clueless... so if anyone else has any thoughts and is in the same boat, please share!

From what I have seen in the past there is an awarded amount stipulated in the acceptance letter.

How do they determine those awards?

does anybody know approximately what time they will start releasing decisions? 5? 6? 7?

How do they determine those awards?

At the open house they said that everyone gets a certain amount (exact number escapes me at this time but is in the tuition and fees section on their site) and then there are additional amounts that can be awarded on merit I believe is what I have seen from years past.

I did my FAFSA as a 5th year undergrad because of the other schools I applied to. I'm pretty sure that'll affect reward amount :\ anyone else in this position?

I had that but changed it after I got the Vanderbilt aid email. I might have changed it too late, though :/

Anyone here apply for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner - Post-Master's Certificate? Like has already been mentioned there is not an interview portion of this application......This waiting it terrible! I have been creeping these posts for days! : )

I think I just got placed on the waitlist - a form section showed up on my portal.

I applied for direct entry WHNP, i already have my BSN. Did you recieve an email asking if you wanted to do part-time or full time or changing clinical placement request to outside of middle TN?
