Given the changes with the NCLEX-RN exam, how useful are the Hogan prep books?
Is it time to buy something else? If so, suggestions?

You're pertaining to Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN by Mary Ann Hogan and some of her review materials, right? Well if yes, I've been using the book for a month and half now and i'm learning a lot from the it. Even though it might me overwhelming at some point(Compre book). I don't think you need to buy one because NCLEX-RN exam just changed the percentage of a given topic/concept so any book would be a good review book. You know what I mean? What I'm saying is you just need to focus more on a certain concept using the book on hand. It does not mean that if they changed the percentage and stuff you need to buy a new book. But if your not satisfied with the book itself, then go get a new one.

Concepts are concepts. Review sources are only as good as your efforts to learn by using them. Many people are successful only using one review source. As long as you learn the concepts behind the questions you should be able to answer questions no matter how they are worded and how you learn those nursing concepts is up to you. Most find Saunders Comprehensive Review to be helpful.
