Valencia Fall 2019

Hello everyone! I can’t seem to find a thread for FALL 2019 for Valencia college. So I decided to make one and see when others have put their applications in and all that good stuff.

Is Monday the 15th the last day for anyone to hear about Fall 2019 acceptance?

Valencia waitlist email stated that but UCF waitlist email said that it could be up to the program start date. That's if you applied to concurrent.

I spoke to Kate Martin via phone and she informed me that they received more applications for the evening traditional track than any other track, and this was the most applications that Valencia ever received for a semester. She told me that if you meet the bare minimum (64.9% Teas, 3.0 for Science and 3.0 Overall) you’ll get it depending when you applied. It goes by when you actually “started” the application not when it was submitted. Which to me is a little shady, because on the application it states that “your application is not submitted until you pay”. I guess that’s why there’s two dates.

How were you able to speak to her via phone? I’ve been searching for a phone number for her. So I submitted my application April 29. I should’ve been accepted then?! Did she give you any hope of spots opening up by Monday?

In my 7 emails to her I put my phone number in them and then she called me. She said there’s a lot of students repeating Nursing I. I told her I didn’t want to invest a lot of time waiting for a spot. She said as soon as spots open up she will reach out to students, but if I do not get in this semester then I’ll likely get into Spring. Everything happens for a reason and I know we want to get in for Fall but in hindsight it might be better later on.

Omg 7 emails?! I sent about 3-4 and received a response that there was a “technical issue” with my payment which pretty much delayed me. I’m kinda bummed because I see people who applied AFTER me that got in. I really was dreaming of Fall, and I know God has a plan and everything happens for a good reason. It’s just a long waiting game because in October/November we’ll be back on a blog waiting again.

I applied May 9th. I’ll start the spring blog ? I’m at the point where, I’ve waited this long what’s another couple of months?

Has anyone ever made it into the program with just below a 3.0 gpa?

I see that you can study respiratory care with just a 2.0 then go into the accelerated track with a 2.5.

My friend applied with a 2.9 and she got denied. I’m not sure exactly if they will allow anything below a 3.0. BUT I know that as long as your TEAs score is in the 80s, Seminole will accept you even if you have a Lowery GPA
