Hi all!
does anyone have any feedback in terms of strong points to make in the personal statement to the VA residency programs? I am applying to the UCLA one and would like to put my best foot forward.
Thank you!

Make it about the Veterans. Speak on how working with the Veterans is a point of pride for you and allows you to give back to those who sacrificed so much for our Freedom. As long as you make everything about the Veterans and your ability to help them, you should put a good foot forward.

Also, if you have any relatives that are or are currently serving mention them too.

NickG and OUxPhys - Great ideas. I am prior military and my husband just retired. I was a military brat. My stepfather retired from the army as well. I am applying to the NP residency in FL. I hope bringing all those things up will make me more likely to be accepted in the program.
Good luck, riverforever!
thank you!
Any tips for interview questions? I got a couple of interviews at the VA. Thank you!
