I can only speak to the method I used, which was the Kaplan 4 day in-person class. This included use of all the online materials (trainers, QBank, etc.) If I had to do it all over again, I would have just done the online only and skipped the in-class. If you truly do all the prep work they ask you to do (40 hours of prep videos & quizzes) then the class tends to be redundant. Plus, it's a LONG day, sitting there 8 to 4! However, on the plus side, our Kaplan instructor was so supportive and answered all of our questions and helped alleviate some of the fears in the group. She followed up with each of us individually to make sure we were sticking to our study plans. So, you'll have to decide what type of instruction is the best fit for you. For me, I would have just opted for the online, but I prefer to work at my own pace. I passed NCLEX in 77 questions. Out of the 64 people who graduated this year from our program (2 year, 3 year, accelerated & advance standing tracks), 3 have failed NCLEX and 2 of those 3 opted out of participating in Kaplan. There are still 8 people who haven't tested yet. The rest have all passed, so that's pretty good so far. Most of the class has passed in less than 80 questions. 5 people have gone to 265 question, 2 passed and 3 failed (the same 3 above). I know this is only anecdotal evidence, but I have a very positive experience with Kaplan. I could have probably passed without taking it, but I feel it prepared us well for the exam. In fact, I felt the Kaplan questions were more difficult than the NCLEX.

I've heard good things about Uworld, but I've never personally used it. A friend of mine from nursing school who wasn't able to take NCLEX right away used the free week of UWorld as a supplement to Kaplan when she was done with all her QBank questions and she had positive things to say about it. She takes her NCLEX on Thursday this week, so we'll see how it goes.

Good luck to you on the NCLEX!!!

I used all 3 and I would have to say each is good for different things. I LOVED UWorlds questions because they were the most similar to the NCLEX (structure, layout, questions). I completed the online HURST videos and I felt they weren't beneficial to me personally because I completed a review book prior to watching the videos, but they would be helpful if you want a refresher that is very simple. The Kaplan questions were also very similar to the higher level questions on the NCLEX. I loved my Kaplan NCLEX premier because it helped me approach the questions in the way they expect on the exam.

Although these were all great resources, I think it would be important to complete a few delegation/priority questions because those showed up on a lot of people's exams.

Good luck!

I have used all 3, i did Hurst when i first took my nclex and the only thing i liked about it were the q review. I also ran out of time the first time i took the nclex. So i figured i need more help in timing my self and working on questions. I have been using Uworld and Kaplan and i like both, Uworld is just like the nclex to me so i have been doing more questions through them. I just bought the Kaplan qbanks and have been scoring an average 65-70% on those.

I used the Hurst Review and thought it was a very good content review. I actually used other products besides that like Saunders comprehensive review for the NCLEX-RN exam book with cd access, NCLEX 4000, NCLEX RN mastery app, and mosby's comprehensive review for the NCLEX 18th edition book . It will depend on your learning style though. I am someone that gets bored with only one source so I feel like all the other sources I used helped me a lot.

I used Hurst and NCSBN qbank. I passed
