Mar 21, 201610 yr Has anyone ever tried UWorld? How do you determine your progress? Does above average percentages indicate that you did well?
Mar 21, 201610 yr I am currently using UWorld right now, did the question bank twice, increased my percentage the second time, 58 the first and 76 the next. Test in two days, hoping it's good
Mar 21, 201610 yr Author Good Luck on your exam! I like UWORLD so far, and I've read good reviews on it. I read it's supposed to mimic the real nclex exam as far as the style of questions and even the screen! I was just wondering how the tests are graded on UWORLD. All of my tests have been above the average it gives me, but idk if thats passing or not.
Mar 22, 201610 yr Author Congrats kiatklat! What would you say helped you pass the exam from using UWORLD?
Mar 22, 201610 yr Congrats kiatklat! What would you say helped you pass the exam from using UWORLD?I only used uworld, I like their rationales which helped my critical thinking. good things I visited this site and found out to those nclex passers who u used uworld so I gave it a try
Mar 22, 201610 yr I can say that Uworld is very similar to NCLEX....I had to stop and regroup because I started to get to comfortable thinking I was doing Uworld and not the actual exam.
Mar 28, 201610 yr I graduated July last year, took some time off to spend with my kids after and kept postponing the nclex, finally decided to take it and bought uworld for a month. I did about 1300 questions, my average was 56% passed with 75 questions.

Mar 29, 201610 yr I think it helps you practice to answer questions that are similar to the nclex. There is some content review but unless you are doing the questions by system I don't know how well that would do.
Mar 31, 201610 yr Hi beens,I'm in a similar position except I failed the 1st try. I graduated in August and tested in December. I test again at the end of April. I started uworld yesterday and also I've been going over Hurst review which I took January 2014. Wish me luck.
Mar 31, 201610 yr I finished saunders, did questions on kaplan after each system. After i was done studying the book and kaplan i took uworld for a month. I read rationals on both kaplan and uworld religiously! My question trainers' scores were high 50s to 60s. Uworld overall performance on tutor mode was 56ish. I graduated in 2005 from a foreign school. Been out of practice since 2007, sat for the test on the 28th of march, 1hour 10 minutes, 75 questions. Passed. Took me 4 months to prepare. I don't know if it was saunders, kaplan or uworld that helped most. I thought i failed when my exam stopped at 75, the questions seemed very easy... Perhaps i prepared well. 11 years since graduation, and i passed on my first attempt I guess all it needs is 4 months of hard work....good luck to all... I hope my experience will be a motivation to somebody, anybody... I am also thankful that new york let me sit for the test. My best wishes to all.
Mar 31, 201610 yr New graduates, stick with uworld! It is worth every penny! Make sure you read all the rationals. I cannot emphasize enough how important reading the rationals are. Make sure you write down and review lab values every other day, it's crucial that you know your lab values... It should be imprinted on your brain like tattoo :-)
