Looking for info about University of West Florida's FNP program!

Don't go. You pay to teach yourself, and the curriculum is inconsistent.

Oh no! Really? Aren't all NP schools self-taught? I really want to get in because it seems to be the cheapest school I can find

There is a reason why it is so cheap. I'm in my last semester here, and the reputation for this program in this area is not good.

I figured... An issue with reputation is very concerning, but with regards to it being self-taught, it seems like all programs are like that

I would suck it up just 'cuz it's so cheap but if it's gonna lose accreditation on me...

Nope, that's not true. I've talked with others and they are appalled at the fact that there is no instruction. I know UWF is trying to change things. But I have a coworker who went to UAB's MSN program, and he received live lectures from providers who specialized in the area that the students were currently learning about.

I don't need someone to teach me, I just need the degree. I can teach myself if its going to be $20000 cheaper.

Agreed 100%, but if they're gonna lose accreditation on us/they have such a bad reputation that we won't be able to get a job we're screwed

Did you complete the program? I'm 2 semesters away from graduating however the current professor I have is inconsistent and I believe is not grading fairly according to the rubric. Any advice?

What?! What area do you live in? I'm currently in the program myself.
