UWF Fall 2018 BSN Cohort

Hi All, I haven't seen any news feeds for the 2018 fall entry at UWF. Just thought I would start something since the application due date was today. This school is my first choice, but I'm applying to a few programs. I have a 3.48 overall and 4.0 pre-req GPA and an 88.9 on the TEAS, but I don't have any of the other recommended classes. And, I wasn't able to get enough volunteer hours in time. I wish I knew how much those things mattered... Anyone else applying for this fall?

Just to let you know, my advisor said that they are not going to release pins for fall until late July when the schedule is finalized.

what is your gpa and teas score? just wondering what i need

My GPA was 3.97 and my TEAS score was 88. I had volunteer hours and none of the recommended extra classes. However, I took the extra classes the same semester I applied, so I don't know if they saw them on my transcript or not. I was told that they really like to see that you have volunteer experience. My overall GPA wasn't as high as hlg18, and neither was my TEAS, but I did have all the recommended classes completed. I also didn't have volunteer hours, so it really depends on everything you have done. The only class I didn't have completed was my foreign language 2 class, but I was taking it when I applied. There's all sorts of things they look at...not sure how the next term application is going to go, this was the first time they had the online application so I think there will be more applicants from now on since it is easier to apply. Before it was hand carry or mail in the hard copy. Now, you can take your online application and just resubmit it. If there are any changes, you can just change what you want such as your TEAS score. They may add points for extra certifications, I have seen other colleges do that at least. I dunno if that goes for UWF tho, but it's worth looking into.

People on the wait list will be emailed next week, I got a call this morning because I have been bugging them so much! Lol. Can't wait to start in August :)
