Hi All, I haven't seen any news feeds for the 2018 fall entry at UWF. Just thought I would start something since the application due date was today. This school is my first choice, but I'm applying to a few programs. I have a 3.48 overall and 4.0 pre-req GPA and an 88.9 on the TEAS, but I don't have any of the other recommended classes. And, I wasn't able to get enough volunteer hours in time. I wish I knew how much those things mattered... Anyone else applying for this fall?
Yay! Congrats to you Hlg18! Do you live in the area? I live in Navarre, a little far from campus unfortunately. I saw the fees due are quite a bit and from the form, I'm starting to save up now! I am super excited and hoping that this next year flies by as I know it's going to be really stressful!
ebailey26, have they sent you anything yet? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Hlg18, have you seen what our schedule is gonna look like?? I've heard first semester is really busy but second semester is better and not as bad. I emailed back my acceptance for the program. I've started looking at some things on amazon for what we need....looking forward to starting! It's been a long time coming for me....from the schedule, it looks like the only super early morning is gonna be lab day on the Thur or Fri, whichever one we can get in to. I'm hoping to get in on the Thursday one....no clue when we can even sign up yet tho. At least we can see the schedule now.
I know! Super busy, but I'm looking forward to it. Haha I think we order stuff through the book store when it is time but I'm not sure. I sent my acceptance form in too. Yay. I am also planning to do Thrusday lab. I made an appointment with my advisor to get my fall pin released so I can sign up for classes soon. How exciting!
Your stats are really good! Maybe the wait might be because you are on the waitlist ?? There were so many people that applied and most likely not have UWF as their top choice. Hoping for the best!
Hlg18, good idea. I'm gonna make an appt with mine as well so I can sign up for classes sooner than later! í ½í¸Š
There's a LOT! You have to pay for your background check ($150) plus a testing package, which is a total of $2400, half due first semester, other half due third semester, uniforms ($200 purchased thru the school), equipment package which is approx $75, a skills kit for approx $150, textbook bundle ($1200)...plus more beyond the first semester, and others along the way. It's crazy, but in the end worth it!

I still haven't received an email! Hopefully this means they are sending it out in two batches and its not just that I didn't get accepted
