UW Madison 2014 Nurse Residency Program

Hello! I'm applying for the UW Madison Nurse Residency Program for the summer of 2014. I'll be a May 2014 graduate with a BSN. Is anyone else applying for this Nurse Residency program or have applied/went through the program in the past?

Congrats to you both! I'm not even sure I'll get a call because I submitted my application on the last day. How fast did they contact you two? What was the phone interview like?

I got a phone call within three business days. The phone interview was about a half hour, and was made up of typical nursing interview questions.

Nope. I imagine they'll send it either tomorrow or Friday.

Have you heard back? I applied on the 30th and have not heard anything yet but I'm sure they got a ton of applications of over the holiday weekend.

I haven't heard anything yet! Fingers crossed that we hear something!

I applied in October, and I didn't hear back about a phone interview until mid-November, so it might take a little bit! I think they go through a bunch of them at a time. Hoping for the pediatric PACU!

Phone interview scheduled for next Wednesday! Any advice would be great! Do they ask a lot of behavioral questions or more goals/ strengths and weaknesses? I will prepare for all but it would be great to know where to focus my energy!

They didn't ask me my strengths or weaknesses, it was all behavioral, so just think about situational stuff! Best of luck!
