Hey guys! I'm about to interview for a new grad peds job. I'd appreciate any tips you have for me as I prepare for my interview. I'm also wondering where you guys ended up in the world of nursing.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of questions we'll get in our interviews? Will it be similar to our phone interview where we were asked to "tell about a time when...."? Any ideas?

Ok. I was told by my nurse recruiter to request a hospital discount at the Best Western but its been really confusing because the employees there said they only give discounts to hospital employees and patients. Sounds like you got a good price on your hotel!

Was that using a hospital discount?

Hello. I'm preparing for my in-person interview (which is next week) for the summer '14 Nurse Residency Program. I would LOVE if you could offer some tips for my in-person interview and some more details on the Nurse Resident Event! I'm so excited and nervous to interview.

I had a phone interview last month for anew graduate position. They reviewed my resume with me for about 5 minutes andthen asked me about 10 behavioral questions where I had to come up with aspecific clinical example. For example, "Name a time your listening skillspaid off", "Name a time when you worked in a stressfulenvironment", "Describe a difficult patient you had and how youhandled it". Then there was about 10 minutes for me to ask questions aboutthe position. The interview took about 30 minutes total. Make sure to be in a quiet place with no distractions and think of it like anopen book test. Have a list of clinical situations you could use to answerquestions along with a list of questions you want to ask them. If they haven’t contacted you by Monday, I would go ahead and give HumanResources a call on Tuesday to see the status of your application/interview. Good luck!

Does anyone know how to get the hospital discount at the Best Western? I wasn't able to book through the hospital and booking through the hotel would get me a 10% discount. Does anyone know of any other deals?
