UW BSN 2017

Hello All!

I am applying the the University of Washington BSN program, starting in Fall 2017. I was curious how everyone's' applications process is going? Have you submitted your applications yet, what are your healthcare, and volunteer experiences? Do you feel prepared for nursing school? Why are you interested in the UW? Do you have any questions about your application?

I am just starting my application for the UW nursing program, starting in fall of 2017. I am an Emergency Dept. Tech. I really enjoy it, but I definitely want to learn how to be a better and more reactive caregiver, and I think nursing provides an excellent pathway to learn and develop great care giving skills.

I'm also trying to join the fb group.. but it keeps on sending me error messages. I'm thinking it's bc I am a transfer and even thought I created a UWNetID, my account isnt activated yet since UW hasn't sent out the admission decisions for transfers. I'm still not sure, but I'm hoping this gets figured out soon because I want to start applying for housing on-campus and such!

Are any other transfer students unable to join the fb group/not able to use their UWNetID email?

I'm not able to join the Facebook group either. Former student returning as well. I still have my UW Net ID.

The issue I had (and was easily solved) was that I needed to join the "University of Washington" group. Once you at the UW group, then you can go back in and request the UW BSN group.

It is my understanding that only students (former and current) with UW net IDs can add the UW BSN group.

Once you become confirmed by the UW group on Facebook, you can join many other UW correlated groups as well!

Ah, so do I have to wait until I am accepted into UW's general transfer admission to have access to email?

I am a new student to UW, and I have a UWNetID!

Hey, do you guys know if we only have to turn in the $25 building access card check by Friday? Do we have to turn in any other kind of deposit? I didn't see anything else besides the intent to register form. Thanks!!

I believe those things are all we need to turn in. At least that's all I turned in..

Can anyone who was accepted to the BSN program tell me what date they are required to acknowledge their acceptance or decline.
