Yesterday was the first day of applications for UTSW Nurse Residency February 2020 cohort. I'm starting this thread for everyone who applied and/or planning to apply.
I submitted my application yesterday with interests in Critical Care Track and Surgical services track. I currently work in Urology in UTSW but I'm trying to get Acute Care experience so here I am. I hope they consider me!

Okay, so when I started my application online it started with having 10 steps, one of them being a question section, but after I filled out my personal information the question section disappeared and at the top it said step 3 of 9, so a step just disappeared. Did this happen to anyone else?
Did you all attend the mixer? I wonder if they mentioned anything about number of open positions and such, particularly in women's. I'm also working right now but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a residency soon.

I didn't attend the mixer. Didn't even know about it. Lol! I currently work in UTSW. I'll send a message to this lady I've been asking questions about the residency if she knows about a number of open positions in each track.
I know someone previously mentioned that it takes a month or so to hear back but has anyone gotten an update since then about what to expect in terms of responses?
They start reviewing and pre-scoring applicants for interview offers after the close of the applications [August 31st]. By end of September they expect to have reached out to everyone and they will hold interviews October 7-25.
I applied for the PCU track and received an email to interview next month!!! Does anyone know if this track rotates you through various units? I know the critical care track does but not sure about PCU.
For those waiting on an interview email you still have time so just keep watching out for the email!
