UTMB Tradtional BSN Spring 2020

Hey everyone. I’m starting this thread to see how everyone’s status is going with their applications. I applied for Spring 2020 traditional BSN on 02/01/19. My transcripts were verified today 02/15/20. Does anyone know when I’ll receive the supplemental application?

Have you submitted transcripts already to NusingCAS? For me that took the longest. Once my transcripts were all in it didn’t take them long at all. I requested transcripts back in January, they got put in, but I didn’t take the TEAS until the end of March. I sent my app in on 4/1, it got verified on 4/2 because the transcripts had been in there for a hot minute lol and I think I received the supplemental app from UTMB on the 4th? I say give it a shot for sure - you can always reapply if you have to!

Hi! So the deadline is the 30th, meaning that you have a couple weeks to turn in your nursingCAS application, then they review it, then they send it all to UTMB. So no worries! Go ahead and apply! Just try to request to send off your transcripts from your schools soon (this week) to make sure they get delivered to the NursingCAS mailbox on time. I applied for fall 2019 literally a week before the deadline and I express shipped my transcripts (one was electronic and one had to be priority mailed). So I finally got a response regarding my fall application...denied ?

The timing is interesting, as soon as I submitted my spring application and it became verified I was shortly notified of my fall application. Could be a coincidence. My stats:

Prereq/Science/Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 85.3

I know the fall is highly competitive, hoping for a better outcome this next go around!

Hey does anyone know if I can take the teas on the deadline date of the 30th and still have it count?

If we received an email for the supplemental application does that mean we will automatically get an interview?

No not at all. The supplemental application goes to every person who applies

I spoke with Ms. Jones last week- she told me that they are no longer interviewing traditional BSN applicants. She said the timeline of 12-18 weeks from the application deadline was still correct, though.

Do you know if this is applying to spring 2020 applicants as well? I know they did that for the fall 2019 applicants who are currently being accepted/declined, but i didn’t know it was for spring too. If this is true, that takes a lot of stress off!

Wow I can’t believe they are not doing the interviews anymore. Idk whether to be relieved or worried lol. So I guess it’ll just be based on grades and the personal statement now.

Cturtle did you confirm this with Mrs Jones that it’s for spring semester too?

Yes, I'm applying for Spring 2020, so that's what her answer applied to.
