UTMB Summer 2020

Same here. I was hoping that the summer cycle would be less competitive, too, because people have said it was in the past. But I have a weird feeling this summer cycle was still really competitive. I guess it depends on how many applicants applied for the spring cycle.

I would like to know how many are actually taken off. I would think not many. But you have a few people who get accepted into their preferred program or decline admission for some other reason.

I know! It's so hard to be hopeful and not get your hopes up at the same time. I feel desperate for a response at this point, haha. I wonder if we're gonna hear anything Monday. I was really looking forward to a response yesterday. I've been checking my email every day.

Right? Worrying and stressing about it isn't going to help anything or expedite the process, but I can't help it. Are any of you guys still taking prerequisites? Applied to any other schools/programs?

I just have online geology that i have to take and will be done a few months before school starts!!! I’m wondering if that’ll put me on the wait list ?

that's true and I am done with all my prerequisites and i also applied to two other programs with no luck... ? I may just finish my degree and try again once I have my bachelors if I don't get into UTMB

My GPA is a 3.5

It's my first time applying and I have no prior degree yet. I applied to two other programs (UT Health in San Antonio and RGV) but I am currently finishing up five prerequisites this semester. I was only accepted to UTMB so I think that missing some prerequisites won't really affect your admission.
