Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

My overall GPA range is still the same around a 3.34 for all three times I have applied. However for third attempt I've improved my TEAS score to an 81.7% and obtained a BS degree as well as rewrote my personal statement. My TEAS score for the first attempt was a 72 and I had an interview invite during the second wave. ( and I was surprised when I received the invite).Then I got waitlisted. For Spring 2017, I just submitted with the same GPA, same TEAS score, and same personal statement until I was denied 12 weeks later. From there, I called the admissions advisor and asked what I can do to improve my chances and a lady mentioned to me that for the TEAS, they won't take anyone in consideration if they who scored a 65% or under in any of the sections of the TEAS exam.

Thats interesting. Why did they give you an interview if they don't accept anyone w/lower than a 65% in any section?

I wonder how many interviews they have already given out and how many applications were submitted? I also wonder if our stats have anything to do with the order of the waves of interviews. I'm stressing out about this way too much lol

My interview is in the first week of December. Does anyone know around how long after we interview will they tell us if we are accepted or not? This waiting is killing me

I don't know, maybe they made some changes in the applicant selection process for the Spring and onward?

I just know once they informed me, I went ahead and took the TEAS again.

Thank u. I have overall gpa 3.7. According to nursingcas. Which include my pre college class. Like English as second language . But commnity college told university don't transfer pre college courses, if that's a case then my GPA will be 3.9. And I got 74 on teas. I still have not heard anything from school, I thought I will at least get a chance for interview. I'm so worried , are they done with sending invitation for interviews?

I'm in the same situation. I have a 3.94 overall GPA and a 4.0 science GPA. I made an 84.7 on the Teas. I haven't heard anything and I submitted supplemental nov. 5. I called the school and they said almost everyone gets interviews and they send out invites either every week or every 2 weeks. I'm still waiting to hear something but they're still sending them out.

I attended open house today and it was so helpful. They are still scheduling interviews so many haven't heard anything at all yet. Keep waiting and checking your email :). Also, they said if you want to check the status at any time they said you can always call and check and they're more than happy to help!

Seriously, ALMOST everyone gets an interview??? That'd be fantastic! I love that they still do the interview and personal statement as apart of their process so hearing that is glorious!

Has anyone heard back about not getting in? I just haven't heard back about an interview so I was wondering when they send out rejection letters.

I havent heard anything this term either, but last term they sent out rejection letter in waves also. So they would send out some interview requests and some rejection letter each time.
