Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!
I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?
I applied Summer 2017. Getting really nervous. My overall GPA is 3.71 and my TEAS score is 74.7%. With that, Can anyone tell me where I stand with getting accepted?
I'm from San Diego, California so with the standard here, I don't even qualify to apply to a lot of BSN programs. A lot of programs require 2 years of 2nd language, Organic Chemistry 1, minimum 3.8 GPA, and minimum 80% - 85% TEAS. These standards have made me feel like a failure for a long time so I don't know what to expect applying to UTMB. Hopefully, my 7 years of experience as a Navy medic will save me.
That's strange. I never had to send in my TEAS directly from the website. I've only sent in my scores through NursingCas. I'm doing a skype interview with them December 1st. I still need 5 prerequistes to take including that government prereq which I will do as an online course from one of Texas's community college if they accept me into the program.
