UTMB Spring 2017

Published

Hello to all! I am applying to UTMB in Galveston for the Spring 2017 start. I have not seen any posts about this particular semester, so I thought I would reach out. Any body applying, gotten information, how was your TEAS test, pre-reqs, etc.?

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Personally, this is my second degree as I have my first in Business Management & Entrepreneurial Studies. My mom is a nurse and has inspired me in so many ways, and I am excited to see where this journey leads me.

I made an 82.7% on my TEAS V and I am pretty nervous about this as I am not too sure how it compares or what the norm is. I hope everyone is having good luck in their application process and let me know how it is going for ya'll?

Thanks!

Thanks. i'll call them and ask. Also, do you know what the ratio of males to females are? I know there are usually way more female applicants so do they give a little bit more consideration to male applicants. here are my stats:

Overall GPA= 3.35

Science GPA= 3.5

TEAS= Taking in October.

i can definitely increase my overall GPA as i have a couple of more electives to take but where do you think i stand as of now with just my GPA

When did you get this email? I stillllll haven't heard anything! í ½í¸

I got mine just a few minutes ago as well and I was denied. I first noticed that MyStar was not logging me in and then I got the email..

Hi guys!!

I finally heard from UTMB about my application. The verdict: I got denied :( It's a sad thing but I am also starting at UH this Fall for my BS in Human Resources Development and I will be graduating in a year!! I believe this is a blessing in disguise for me. If I still want to pursue Nursing, I can just apply again for second degree Nursing at UH.

It feels better to at least hear something and not being left hanging. So yayyy!! Congrats to everyone who got in and for those of us who didn't, always be positive, always have a plan B and always be prepared for the outcome. God knows where you are meant to be.

Im glad you are starting a new goal! UHs nursing program is great. They only take applicants in spring and it's only one full year.

Fall is my last semester at UH, I graduate in December. Im glad to show you around or help with anything if you need it!

I'm not an out of state student but I know you can take Texas government online. I took mine online at Alvin community college. You'll prob have to pay out of state tuition but it's worth it at ACC. They have great online instructors

To see todo list are y'all going to campus solutions then to student center?

yes ma'am.

Did anyone else get a denial letter, I still have not received anything....

I still haven't heard anything either. I heard we should know something by the end of August

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! I received my acceptance about a month ago and I am now in the process of looking for a roommate. I am graduating from A&M this December and then will be moving up to Galveston in January! Email me at [email protected] if you are also looking for a roommate. I would like to find a 4 bedroom house with rent around $500...idk what the price ranges are around Galveston but that's just what I'm aiming for. Hope to hear from some of you!

Hey question:

Once we finish our Prereqs AFTER acceptance, do we send the new transcripts to NCAS or straight to UTMB?

Also I'm looking for a roommate as well for Spring 2017. But I'm a guy so idk if anyone would want me =( but I'm good for whatever as long as it's about $500-$600ish range. Email me at [email protected]

See y'all spring!
