Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

Drug screening cannot be completed until after November 1st based on what I read!

I have a question for you guys. I haven't gotten my admission status yet for the spring of 2016, so I wanted to apply for the summer too just in case I don't get in but... I don't want the admissions office to see that I'm applying for the summer and not give me a spot for the spring because there are only a few seats left. Basically I don't want them to overlook me and not give me a spot because they think "oh well she can just start in the summer instead we should just give the spot to Johnny" idk if that makes sense but I really don't know what to do here. Thanks

I don't think they would do that but I could completely wrong.

I would think that they don't even look at the summer applications until the deadline is done with?

That's what I would think to be fair be they do because people for the spring were getting interview invitations before the application was even due so I'm nervous lol but I also don't want to wait till "mid-September" when they will let us know to reapply because it's near the end of the application period and there will be fewer seats left and I'd be in the same boat I'm in now lol :/

UTMB reviews applications as they are received as complete by NCAS. I asked this question when I applied bc I had to wait until right before the deadline due to my scheduled TEAS test and spring class. I was told it is in your best interest to turn in your application early.

Hey yall! So just wondering if anyone's in a similar situation as I am. I found out my application is put on hold all because of a 62 in the science portion of the teas. I did decent in all other subjects and scored an overall of 73 on the teas. My GPA is a 3.7 and science GPA is also a 3.7. Hope my science GPA somehow balances out my science score on the teas.

My question is has anyone or anyone you know been accepted or denied with a GPA/teas score like this? Really worried :/

They start looking at applications before the deadline, however, I don't think they would take away your spot just because you can also start a semester after.

I got my Hep B Titer on 61st at the Urgent Care for 20 bucks! I talked with the lady for my TB shot at the Student Health Center and she said that I can complete TB shot 1st week of January with them.

I originally applied for fall. I didn't get an answer until the week before the application deadline for Spring 2016. I got my application ready to submit before the last day just in case but ended up getting waitlisted so I didn't have to submit application for Spring. Hope this helps. You will hear something before the application deadline for Summer.

Hi I just found out my application is on "hold" as well and they will let me know as soon as possible. Mine is on hold for my GPA and my TEAS was good. I think your GPA should balance out your TEAS Mkar but I'm not sure how this "hold" status works. Now I want to go back and read previous semesters threads and see what happened to other applicants that were put on hold. I think my GPA is a 3.37 and my TEAS was an 81.
