UTMB Spring 2016

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

I will be. I just interviewed friday, but I haven't done a tour yet.

Did your interviewer also tell you that they're meeting week after next?

I know they weren't meeting today. I think they are meeting the next. But they also have interviews that week. So I wonder if they are waiting until they have finished them all first?

Yes I paid for the supplement application already and I called n left a voice mail. But how sure are you that I'm likely to be accepted since I have to do my finger scan before being accepted? i had my interview mid June n it's August alrady :/

my gpa is around 3.1

I thought we all had to get our fingerprints scan. I received that e-mail before even getting an interview. Or is there another scan?

I interviewed last Wednesday and they told me I would be hearing back in 4-6 weeks :(.

How long the response for every question in the interview? How long did the interview last? Did you guys talk a lot?

I think everyone that received an invitation for an interview has to get the fingerprint scan done. Then the next step after getting accepted would probably be a background check. I really hope it doesn't take 4-6wks to hear back :(

Oh, well I have friends that had to scan their fingerprints and haven't been call for an interview, so I hope that this mean they will def. get one!!! :D

I hope it doesn't takes that long either :( I'm already super anxious

Someone asked about Fingerprinting Friday while I was waiting and they explained that anyone applying to a Nursing school with the expectation that you will go somewhere has to be fingerprinted when accepted for the Board of Nursing. Due to how long that can take, UTMB chooses to request this upfront and the fingerprinting can be used for any school. Some schools don't notify until like November and then it's a rush to get this done they said.

Does anyone know where they are with the interview process? I applied at the end of May and still haven't heard anything. Just getting anxious. Has anyone else applied in May and received an interview already? Thanks guys!

I have my interview tomorrow! 😊 If you guys have any questions, I'll try and ask at the end of my interview :)
