Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!
So a little confused...I called Elizabeth B. the other day, and she said that people with a lower GPA (lower than 3.2) have a slim chance of getting in. She did say though that if you had a great TEAS V score and explained why your GPA was low in the personal statement, there was a chance...but I'm not too sure. Has anyone gotten accepted with lower than a 3.2 yet?
I am applying to Summer 2016, and I have taken the TEAS V, but made an overall 71%. I am going to retake this probably in September, but for those of you who have taken it, how did you study for the science portion? It has been about 10 years since I have had any of the classes, and I am hoping to get a great TEAS V score since my GPA is not all that great. My STATS are:
Science GPA: 2.76 (I am taking two classes at the moment and both are A's, so I am looking at a final GPA of around 3.2 hopefully)
Overall GPA: 3.12 (bachelor degree)
I am not 100% on the stats, but I am retaking Chemistry in the Fall to help as well, since I made a C in it back in 2007. I am working on bringing my GPA up, but I am working full time still. I am an accountant and I am hoping to switch careers soon! :) Happy to be sharing this journey with all of you, and thanks in advance!
Buy the ATI study book for the teas and do sections every night until your exam. I took one of the practice tests (timed myself and everything) before I looked at anything so I knew what I needed to focus on most. There wasn't a single question on the actual exam that was over information not covered in the practice book. Hope that helps!
I think the book was great for all the sections BUT science. The practice tests in the book are exceptionally easy. My suggestion is to know the practice book backwards and forwards, but most importantly pay to take the practice tests on the ATI website. Those tests are most indicative of what the actual exam looks like.

I took seven practice test before I took the exam.I studied for about three weeks, every day/all day. I memorized the study guide cover to cover. I also bought the flash cards. You cannot over prepare for the exam. I found it to be very difficult. I made a 91.3% over all.
