Ok, so I broke down and called UTMB today and am afraid we are still in for a bit of a wait. I was told that they are still narrowing down the candidates and that letters/emails could go out as late as the end of next week, but hopefully sooner. She wasn't sure if both emails and letters would be mailed, so keep an eye out for both. Stay positive and just think of how much character we are building by being so patient! :) Cheers!

Anyone that has already been accepted started to look into books? I saw on the UTMB site that the book list for next semester is up, I'm just kinda unsure which classes we will be taking. There are 5 of them that say JR so I would assume those are ours. I was looking at the required texts and WOW there are alot of books and they are SUPER expensive. Anyone start looking yet? Im trying to find out if there is a cheap place to get them

I called this morning, and I was told that letters are definitely being mailed out either tomorrow or Friday and we should be receiving them early next week. And, she also stated that they only send follow up emails to ensure those accepted got their letter. And she said they will email those about a week later. But I know if I call again to a different number someone else may have a different answer. This is driving me crazy!!! But good luck to all those who had an interview on the 15th and still waiting!

@ Courtneymbanks or mystme3 do you by chance know the range on the TEAS scores of those accepted so far since you have already been accepted?

my interviewer said once you have gotten an interview they don't even look at grades/scores anymore!

They don't look at grades and scores?! What do they look at to make final decisions if it comes down to a few good candidates! This whole process is crazy!! The interviewer decides?? What is the deciding factor? I'm sorry for all the questions. I guess my nerves are getting the best of me!

She said its solely on the interview and whether they think you would be able to succeed in the program. My interviewer also mentioned she was on the admissions committee...seems crazy to me

My teas score was a 79. I was told by a lady up there that a competitive score was considered 75-80%. I think it's weird the interviewer has the sole decision!!! When I was interviewed the lady that interviewed me didn't know my grades and volunteer history or anything!

My teas was an 84... and its def weird they only use that stuff to get ya to the interview and after that its up to the interview...I thought mine went really well, but they seem to be dragging their feet with the 15th interviews

Well if its based soley on that then that's great!

They are definitely dragging their feet. I want to call and just ask about myself and see if they say anything or just tell me.
