UTMB Spring 2010

Published

Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

Okay seriously these people are all over the place!

Before deciding to slump into major depression I called the SON to ask WTH I didn't get a Bacc2 interview.

(Just got off the phone less that 10min ago) She said that interviews are being held tomorrow and next Friday for BOTH Bacc2 and Generic on BOTH dates. and that if I'm selected for the interview next Friday we should hear from them Monday or Tuesday.

That made me feel much better. But crazy that we are getting so many different answers. I hope she's right. She said my app was good, oh and also that they are STILL looking over applications, haven't looked at all of them yet. That's just crazy.

Ugh I can't wait to hear something :smackingf

Ok so no one has got an interview yet? They're gonna let us know Mon/tue?

she said there are generic tomorrow but I don't know anyone who has gotten one. she said mon/tue for next friday's interview which will be for both bacc2 & generic as well.

cadiaz, some people have gotten an interview and they will interview tomorrow, just no one on this thread in the generic has gotten an interview yet

cadiaz, I was just reading the UT-H thread about the people on the waitlist and I was wondering:

Did it come up in the interview, that you have young children? I wonder sometimes, if they ask us about your "support" group to get us to tell them about our kids and how old they are etc...

I went to 2 infomation sessions for UTMB and TWU and it never failed that someone would mention how difficult it was to complete the program if you have a young family.

What do you guys think?

They asked me in my interview but my family seriously supports me so much with this. I dont take my kids to daycare and I never have to worry about them because they're with grandma and I told the interviewer that.

So they just came out and asked you!

I wonder how many other people on the waitlist have weee little ones?

I really hope they are not holding that against people just because some ppl in the past had issues.

Keep your chin up high and please let us know how things work.

That was the one thing I liked about PVAMU you don't have to do the interview process.

I can't remember exactly how she worded it but she did ask about them going to daycare and stuff. I know it's going to be really hard but that's something I've already accepted and in the long run it will be worth it

TWU is the same in that respect..no interview

I didn't have my statistics class done before sept (I'm in it right now) so I got accepted to TWU but couldnt apply to the nursing dept because of that :(

I had the same type of issue with TWU. I'm in my last class now..."chemistry" and you can't apply with them until all of you sciences are completed.

Speaking of which..I'm headed to class now..I'll holla at yous guys later..feel better cadiaz...we gonna get in "somebodies" nursing school soon.
