Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

Ms Sealy....I am going tomorrow to give them my paperwork and I'll ask about the CPR while I'm there.

I got my financial aid package yesterday. More than I expected, it will cover tuition and books, but not enough to cover monthly bills, so I'll have to look into private loans too. BUT, like I said, it was a lot more than I expected so that was great news.

Whoever was asking about the FAFSA, you can apply online, and you give them your income info from last year, while choosing "2009-2010," and that would apply to our spring and summer semester. In January or whenever you do your taxes from this current year, then you will put "2010-2011" for the school year for financial aid, which would apply to our fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters.

vickie, we're all over the place, it really just depends on your financial situation and how much you want to drive i guess. we will be doing clinicals everywhere. personally, i would hate to drive from jersey village everyday, but that's just me. you could always just check out places and see if anything jumps out at you. also, whoever is looking for a place, i know that local apartments on the island put up ads for cheap rates, specials, etc... moving the first couple of weeks of school would suck, but it might be worth it to wait to see what our schedules are going to be like. speaking of schedules, we know we have a class monday from 1-5, and tuesday from 9am-noon. the other ones we don't know yet, and that's only because somebody called and was able to find out because they will miss one of the days of orientation.

lcap, i live with my boyfriend and i just take over the kitchen table when i need to study, he knows to stay out of the kitchen when i have an exam :-P

I haven't received my FA yet. Did you guys get any scholarships? I thought we all would at least get a transfer scholarship.

I got my financial aid award letter two days ago. Since I'm going for a second degree, I ended up with the Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized maximums as expected - no scholarships. That leaves me with another 8,000 a semester to come up with to meet their budget (which amazingly matches my own). Unfortunately, my credit sux. Guess I'll keep working full time *sigh*. Hehehe, at least I've got the stafford loans to help out. I'd be so out of luck if those programs didn't exist, so I'm very thankful. Has anybody gotten any information on how to log into the financial aid portal? My letter told me to log on and accept my award, but I don't have a user name or password. I've emailed and called enrollment services, but I haven't gotten a response yet. I'd sure like to get started on the paperwork for the loans now, so that I'll be able to afford tuition on the 5th.

unfortunately, the class schedule is only for the 2 classes gm91 told us about :(

toasterbell did the letter come in the mail? that might be why i haven't gotten mine yet cause i check the mail like once a week or so.

here is the portal, but you have to get a non-disclosure form emailed to you, then you sign it and fax it back to financial aid. call fa @ 409 772 1215. they will request a username for you. you have to call the help desk 409 772 5200 or 888 898 2401 to get your password reset.

Mine came in my email inbox, but I believe they're doing them all week. I submitted my acceptance and FAFSA really early (because I interviewed with BACC2), so that's probably why I got mine so quickly. I sure hope they call me back. I've left messages at that number two days straight. What do you think of the schedule???

So far it looks great. Can study in the afternoon after the 9-12 class and study before class for the 1-5. Wonder what days the other classes will be on...maybe they will be online.

They didn't return my call either when I left a message so, I kept calling til I got a live person.

I'm scared to death! I was counting on having some courses online or clinicals on the weekend or something so that I could still work at least 20 hours a week. From what I can tell, I've got about 8 hours a week in the 8-5 range that are open for work. Maybe they'll let me work a sorta alternate work schedule? Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp! I'll make it work. I'm DOING this. But, OMG I'm scared to death. I've got two little kids and a husband on disability because he's on the heart transplant list.
