UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

Is anyone is the Spring/Summer cohort planning on relocating to Galveston and taking their dog with them? I am trying to decide whether it would be a good idea to take my dog with me when I relocate in the Summer. I really do not want to leave her at home, but I also do not want to be so busy that I cannot take care of her. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jclare, some apartments in galveston have a no pet policy rule and the ones that does accept pets, you have to pay a ton monthly for them, so its up to you if you want to do that. I know some people who are. Also, if you intend to leave in the ferry apartments(student housing) that means no pets.

Im looking at the Ferry Road appartments! I'm open to others as well but my mother's coworker went ot UTMB and lived there and said they were cheap, pretty nice and safe!

I have also looked at Ferry Road apartments. I am hoping to go to galveston at the beginning of next year to tour a bunch of places. I really want to be walking distance from campus. I remember a few girls at the informational said they lived in houses or condos in fish village. Do you know anything about how to locate places to tour in that area?

I'm not too sure about that. I used places like zillow rent or apparments.com to find other options. I also looked at houses but the bills are so expensive it steers me away :(

Hey guys!!! Quick update, blessed to say that I received my acceptance email today! I will be moving from Dallas, Tx. I'll definitely start looking at places soon, hopefully they're fairly cheap

Are any of you in the summer cohort worried about finding a job after graduating in August? Some people have told me that usually hospitals are not hiring in August and it is really hard to find a job. However, other people have said not to worry. Anyone have any input on this?
