UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Published

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

My interviewed was on July 21 (accepted on July 22).

My overall GPA 3.2 and science ~3.3 and TEAS 78.

If your personal statement is great then you should have no problem getting interview! That what I think got me the interview.

Yes, I might be!

I'm a girl btw

Are you looking to stay in Galveston or nearby cities

Is anyone on here still waiting on an interview invite?

Is anyone on here still waiting on an interview invite?

I am..:( I'm not sure if they're done with interview invites or not but I haven't received a denial letter..but I'm slowly losing hope.

I am still waiting to get accepted as well...

Those that have been accepted , what was your GPA and TEAS scores if you do not mind sharing?

Thanks!!

Good Morning Everyone! Has anyone recently contacted the office of admissions for any updates?

Hello everyone,

I've pretty much been stalking the page all summer and finally decided to join in the conversation. I got an interview invite last week and had my interview on Monday. Now I'm just playing the waiting game but I'm pretty hopeful. I also applied for UT-Houston but considering their method of accepting students is really bizarre, I'm not as hopeful, hah!

I still have Micro, Hist2, and Stats to take this fall. I know Med Terminology doesn't count but I'm taking it for fun this fall as well. I live near Pearland (more like 288 & the Beltway) and plan on commuting; if anyone in the area wants to carpool, let me know!

For those that haven't gotten interview invites yet, stay hopeful! The interviewer told me they are trying to squeeze everyone in as soon as possible because they'd like to have a commitment from everyone sooner than later. I have a feeling admissions meets everyone other week, meaning they'll likely be meeting early next week. So, interview invites and acceptances will likely be going out next week, if not, definitely the week following. They're looking to admit about 135 people, never got the nerve to ask how many they've already admitted though...

Did anyone else have a long interview?

Hi! Nice for you to join! I've been waiting for 4 weeks already to hear something from them since my interview. I received a call 2 days ago because apparently I forgot to give them my SS # :o from the sounds of it she wAs getting everything ready to send it to the Board of Nursing. So I think they are meeting next week.

I think they had a hiccup recently. I overheard the interview scheduler talk about how everyone was behind. I also assumed they'd be meeting next week so I made sure to schedule my interview as soon as possible so maybe I'd hear back with this next wave of invites/acceptances.

Do you know what class your interviewer taught? Mine is a coordinator for Adult 1 and 2, really sweet.
