The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?
I was just stating what SON staff told me and what my experience was from last cycle. Majority of the decline wait list and acceptance letters were sent out in June and were due in January originally then changed to February (which I didn't know till like May) so it was a 4-5 month wait. Wasnt trying to discourage anyone just stating from my experience. Good luck to you also.
When you get your application communication emails, be sure to log in to MyStar and make sure your info is correct. Then go back and check it frequently. I found out I was accepted via MyStar 4 or 5 days before I got the official acceptance email, and probably 2 weeks before I got the letter in the mail. Good luck! I love UTMB, and I'm sure you will too.
Also, if you do happen to get waitlisted, go ahead and complete all your enrollment requirements (BLS cert, vaccinations, etc.); we had people in my class being pulled off the wait list up to the first day of classes.

Thank you guys! I'm going to call NCAS and see if they receive my payment in the mail by tomorrow. I hope they change my payment status because UTMB told me that if my nursingcas application says "not received", my application won't be considered!! Wish me luck & Good luck to everyone!
Thanks csmcj!!kimjanice, how did everything work out for you? I hope all is well!
NursingCAS changed my payment status to '' recieved'', so I guess I'm good to go? Thanks for asking! :)
1) My transcripts are verified & GPA's calculted
2) Submitted my personal statement (I hope I did this right. Haha. I clicked on ''designations'' and attached my essay.
3) Paid for the application fee.
4) Sent my TEAS score
That's all I need to do right?
Dpviator is right. We just found out about acceptances and wait lists for this fall 2 weeks ago. That only gave the wait listed and rejected students 2 weeks to reapply for spring. They seemed really behind this year so don't expect anything in 8 weeks. I would recommend not calling a thousand times because they are busy and they will all tell you different things, there's really nothing you can do besides wait. It sucks but yeah. Don't get your hopes up to hear back soon.
@kimjanice
Yup you got it all done. All that is left is wait minimum 2-3 months or more if they are still slow with the admission process, like what both dpaviator & mahumaamir have mentioned

Thanks for the info. If you haven't already got accepted yet for the fall, are you also applying for the spring 14 semester just in case?
Hi! I have applied for the UTMB BSN Traditional Program for Spring 2014. I received the MyStar login information last Monday. However, I have read on some of these posts that y'all are able to see something that states application complete. I don't have anything similar to that. I was wondering how long after you received your log in information for MyStar were you able to see the application complete? Thank y'all!

Hello kimjanice,
This may ease your stress:
This is from the first paragraph of the "Application Communication # 1" email we all get from the UTMB enrollment services. We get 3 emails from UTMB regarding our mySTAR info after we finish the supplemental app for UTMB once NursingCAS submits your application.
Of course, contact the UTMB enrollment service to verify what I have quoted from their email above to make sure.
Cheers!
