UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

It will vary at the interview she told me that they try to give you a hospital near you but they can't promise it will be

There's usually clinicals at either Galveston, Houston, or Pearland. You get to write down your choices but they can't always put you in the one you wanted.

Hi llucas11, what kinds of questions did you get asked at the interview? Was it a one-on-one or did you have more than one interviewer? I have mine this week and I'm so anxious though excited about it. How was the general atmosphere?

It was very relaxed so don't worry and I was interviewed by one person. The questions were not overly difficult. They ask about your plans and your study skills, etc. It was more like a conversation than an interview. It wasn't intimidating or anything like that.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I feel so much better now.

Good luck to everyone with interviews this week!!! And good luck to those who are still waiting!! Mine is tomorrow after lunch and I will be commuting from North Houston. I'm overly excited and just can't wait!!!!

To those that have been invited and attended an interview, have any of you been accepted yet?

Good luck to everyone with interviews this week! :-)

I interviewed last Tuesday...no correspondence from them yet.

@sallypink07

I also had an interview last Tuesday and have not heard anything. However, they did tell me it would take 4-6 weeks. Good luck to everyone interviewing this week!

Good luck to everyone that has interviews this week! I had mine today and the lady told me that I should hear something in 2-4 weeks but it will most likely be closer to two.

I also had my interview today and she said 2-4 weeks! She also said they're interviewing about 132 students and there are 120 spots. So I guess that means if you get an interview you have a pretty good chance! I felt like my interview was great so good luck to everyone else! And if you have low grades, don't lose hope! My overall gpa is 3.35, science is 3.0 and teas was 78. It's not as great as everyone else's but I still got an interview and she said I had good chances of getting in. They do look at you as a whole person instead of just your grades. And for anyone who gets wait listed, don't give up!! I got wait listed last semester too.
