UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

Also, my overall GPA is 3.73 and TEAS is 88.

But I think when I applied my GPA calculated by nursingCAS was like 3.43?

It's just the first wave of invites, don't be discouraged! As long as you have not received a reject letter you are still in the running! Also a lot of people who were interviewed in spring 2012 first did not find out for an additional four weeks if they were accepted. The people who interviewed later had a shorter wait time to find out if they were accepted.

Beginning to think I'm just going to be wait-listed again this semester. I have a 3.96 GPA but my TEAS score was only a 77. I'm not a good test taker.... This sucks having to wait. Last semester I didn't even get an interview. All I got was a wait-list notice.

This whole process has been so stressful.... I did get an interview but I was wondering if anyone knew how many applicants receive interviews? I don't want to get my hopes up if almost all the applicants are interviewed.

Kris101189, you have a great gpa. I'm surprised you weren't accepted immediately last semester. Hopefully the admissions committee sends out more invites this week.

Mary2015, it is hard to say how many get interviewed as it varies each semester. I think you'll get a better answer when you ask the person interviewing you. If somebody gets the exact number...please let us know!
