Hello,
Would like to connect with everyone who has applied to UTMB-FNP program for Fall 2017.
Let me know where are you in the process.
I have applied and just finished the supplemental application . Now waiting on the decision
Thanks
I got my acceptance email today. Are any of you also applying to UTHSC? I had my interview for their FNP program Monday, and I felt like it went well. I don't think I'll know about acceptance there though until after I have to say yes or no to UTMB.
We are in the same boat! I was admitted to UTMB as well, and have an interview with UTHSC. If you don't mind me asking, which one are you leaning towards and why? This is assuming you get admittance to UT health as well of course.

I'm leaning towards UTMB I think. I've talked to NPs who recently graduated from both programs. UTMB requires less time on campus. They both make you find your own preceptors (even though UTMB's website says otherwise). UTMB has a very high board pass rate, and quite frankly, I've heard much better things about their instructors. That said, there apparently is a shake up going on at UTHSC regarding instructors. I haven't decided for sure yet though. Good luck on your interview!

I agree 100% and am leaning towards UTMB as well. I have two friends at UT health and they said they don't really feel supported from staff. To my understanding, UT health admits in summer, fall, and spring, while UTMB is just once a year in fall. I'm not sure if that's true but if it is, they probably admit more students and essentially have more people to handle. My friends also told me over 100 people dropped the pharmacology class at UT health and that the professor has since been replaced. Because you can find preceptors in the houston med center for both programs, it really comes down to preference. Thank you, hoping the interview goes well, just in case I change my mind.

Hello everyone,
After viewing previous posts I'm far behind you guys in the application process. I submitted my NCAS application 1/3 and I'm still waiting for my transcripts to be verified. I was a nervous wreck over the weekend thinking that I missed the deadline because of my transcripts! I've been in contact with the admissions coordinator who reassured me that as long as transcripts are received by 1/31 everything will be fine. Congrats and good luck to you all!
