Yes. I did too. Like I said, my interviewer was excellent but I was so nervous that my mind went blank...literally....I didn't mention some stuff I wanted to mention because I couldn't think....I'm also very passionate about UTMB....I wish there was something I could do but It's all up to decisions now....I really hope I get accepted... :redbeathe

Too yawl that are nervous... If your interviewer gave you their card then email and thank them for their time! Shows how much you want it! I did and I got accepted but I also felt like I did awesome in my interview.

My interview was by 11am but I interviewed as soon as I got there; by 9am. Karen, the med surg professor interviewed me. She noticed I was nervous and told me to take a deep breath. After that I calmed down and answered the questions as best as I could. I don't know how I did tho because there were some questions I didn't expect, like, how do u deal with people from diff races, hw do u deal with people in a diff age group than urs , in a time of conflict with sum1 hw did u handle d situation. When I finished, I thought I did really well but thinking abt it now, I don't know. Yesterday was my 1st interview too, I hope am one of the lucky 100 coz I really really want to skul at UTMB.

I hope we do good.... I cannot believe I went blank....I was able to ans the questions but I don't think I did as good as I should of because of my nerves....who Interviewed you?

Quick Question:

Since my mind went BLANK, I absolutely forgot my interviewer's first name....She was the director of Nurses at UTMB Hospital. Did someone else interview with her? She was an excellend interviewer, but I still don't feel too good about my interview....The first thing I said to myself was "DONT BLANK OUT"...and I did.... :/

Hey Lainey11!! It was nice to meet you too! I thought my interview went very well but I just got accepted to UT Houston which is my first choice, so if I get accepted to UTMB I will be opening up a spot for someone!! How did your interview go??

I had my interview yesterday as well... it went pretty nice... but some questions I answered them... but dont know if the answers were good enough... the decision is the main part... cant wait..

I was told that acceptance into the nursing program is getting more competitive as time is passing by... she also said they've raised the numbers of acceptants this semester... & they're trying to increase more... but on the other side they need more instructors... but they dont have enough teachers to teach...

She gave me an advice saying to start at any school wherever you get accepted does not matter if it was not your first priority... as long as they're accredited, because at the end you will have to pass the state board exam.. which every school will get you ready for... OVERALL, nursing school is getting worst...

Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best...

jennmeza: you're not the only one... my mind kinda went blank too.. I answered all the questions with confident... but dont remember her name... hehehehe... The lady who interviewed me.. she was not in her own personal room.. it seemed like more of a conference room... had like 6 chairs or some.. or it was not like a desk... more sorta a table... so it was surely not her room.... I'm not sure what she was... coz she never told me... my interviewer was good.. but didnt think she was the best one... but lets see what the decision comes....

Caitsters- Congratulations on your acceptance at UT-Houston! Thats great! I wish I was accepted SOMEWHERE right now, it would make me feel less nervous waiting!

Thanks Lainey11! I just found out today! I am sure the people that interview us understand that we are all going to be nervous because this is something we all want so bad! Let me know when you find something out!!
