UTMB Fall 2020

Hey y'all! I will be applying for UTMB SON for fall 2020! I couldn't find a forum for it, so I decided to start one! It is a little early but many of you know it take forever to gather everything needed for the application! Please post all of your questions, stats, etc. SO excited to apply in November!

Has anyone received the letter from Identogo for fingerprinting already? It’s already been 2 weeks and I haven’t received the instructions from them.

Check your email. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) emailed us yesterday stating that we would get the email on or after June 15, It’s due July 20

This might be a really confusing, complex question, but try and follow LOL

So I applied to UTMB for the Fall of 2020 and was waitlisted.. and just in case I re-applied for the Spring of 2021 a couple of days before the deadline. My roommate applied for the Fall of 2020 and got rejected and then she also applied for Spring 2021 ON the deadline, a couple of days AFTER me.. she's already received her email with the supplemental application and I still haven't received anything.

Has anyone else not received their supplemental application email for the Spring of 2021 who's on the waitlist for fall 2020?

I'm just wondering if I should email them and ask about it.....

So I was actually in the exact same situation as you except that two weeks before I even reapplied for Spring I got a supplemental application email but I assumed it was a mistake and ignored it. Then I never got another one. So I think there was some kind of issue regarding people who reapplied. But I called (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she helped me so I would call her.

That happened to me too, but it just took a while for them to send me the email. It took them a few days honestly.

Hey everyone!

I’m a student who is about to graduate this fall! So I might see some of you!

If your worried about grades and TEAS score, of course that’s a good part of your admission, BUT make sure you put thought into your personal statement. I made As and Bs and even had a C in A&P 1, but I was still accepted (as a first round acceptance: this just means I got an email earlier than other people).

Some Advice:

For those of you on the waitlist, just hang in there! A lot of people apply and will drop for other schools, so you have a good chance! My roommate actually was on the waitlist, and got off, and has already graduated! You’ll be fine!

Also, for your first semester this will be extremely crazy! Hit the ground running, because first semester is definitely an adjustment, but doable.

If you haven’t yet, join your facebook cohort group because you’ll get a lot of info for your first semester here AND make sure to join a groupme if y’all have one created (if not, I highly recommend y’all make one) and also the UTMB Book exchange facebook page as well! If you’re worried about a new vs older edition book, go for the older edition.. please LOL you’ll save money AND it’s the same info.

first semester is super fun, and remember, make friends! It’s how you’ll get through nursing school for sure.
