Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)
I think we will hear back. But probably get waitlisted. Did you apply for the spring?
That's kind of what I was thinking too since it's already so late. I didn't apply for spring because I was accepted to another school for Fall so I will just start there if it's a no from UTMB.

What other school were you accepted to? I also haven't heard back at all... I'm applying here, UTH, St. Thomas, and SHSU.
I just called the office of admissions and asked when we would be hearing back. She told me that we should hear back by mid-May because they were pushed back on meeting because of commencement last week and this it's a faculty holiday this week. She told me the committee should be meeting next Monday for sure and that if I haven't heard anything back yet then that means my application is still being reviewed. I just don't know if I can wait that long to hear back since I've heard back from other schools and I am going to have to make a deposit soon.

But yeah that puts you in a hard situation! I guess maybe just wait till Monday?

I wouldn't want to miss the other opportunities that you have. Don't rely on utmb as much. This may be the school you absolutely want, but don't make the mistake of waiting and not ending up anywhere.
I agree as well. Don't put everything on the line for UTMB if you have already gotten offers at other places! Also if you haven't been contacted at all I would just suggest to put tour deposit for the other school and pull your application. No matter what school you go to, you will get a good education if you put the effort into it, and I know you will! :)

Ugh why are they like this?! They told me a week and a half last Monday! This is so stressful.
I had my interview 4 weeks ago and still have not heard back. I was hoping to hear back before the spring deadline but it looks like that might not happen. I was wondering if anyone knows if we have to have our transcripts resent to Nursing CAS or if they are still verified for spring too?

I had my interview 4 weeks ago as well. Someone said earlier that they should be meeting next Monday. Hopefully we will hear something by next Friday since we have both had interviews
