UTMB Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

Oh, have you had an interview?!

i have

i have

Good Luck!!! I have too, but mystar hasnt changed. I hope that's not bad... :/

Omg this wait is agonizing!! Lol has anybody's mystar changed atleast?

Hopefully we hear back this Friday or Tuesday

My to-do list changed before my interview. It listed the two classes I'm currently taking and the two I need to take this summer.

My interview was 3 weeks ago.

I'm on the waitlist for the Summer 2018 term but also submitted a Fall 2018 application. I just saw my to do list changed. does this mean I'm accepted for Fall 2018?

No the change in your To-do list doesn't mean that you got in. You should get a letter stating whether or not you have been accepted! Best of luck!

So, I have a question for those of you who have interviewed. I interviewed about 2 weeks ago, and I was wondering what kind of questions they asked you guys. I was asked about 4 or 5 really hard questions about situations I may be in while being a nurse. EX: "If I was taking care of 5 patients and all of their medication was due at 9 am, what would I do in this situation?" I was just wondering if yall were asked these kinds of questions becuase I wasn't really expecting these kinds of questions. They did also ask about my personal statment, study habits, social support, strengths and weaknesses.

Basically feels like I'm gonna have a heart attack if I don't hear back this coming week

So weird I feel like I was the only one they asked those questions.

I wasn't asked patient type questions but I was asked classmate questions. One main one that stumped me a little that I still think about was something like "your classmate did something you're uncomfortable with...what do you do?" And I was like ummmm...I thought I answered well though. Also I feel like they haven't sent out acceptances in weeks..

That's not too bad! I'm sure you did just fine :) and I know!!! I'm really hoping we all hear something soon. ❤️

So I called because I had a personal concern, but they told me the committee meets in a week and half... I don't even know if I should be posting this lol But I figured it is helpful for everyone to at least have a time frame and not be stuck in the computer refreshing with the hopes of hearing back. If you don't hear back still, they said 5 weeks from now should be the time you should expect. THIS WAIT IS HORRIBLE!
