Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)
My stats are
TEAS:
82% Overall
-Reading: 85.1%
-Math: 87.5%
-Science: 78.7%
-English and Language Use: 75.0%
GPA: 3.9 Overall
Well I was told by the admissions counselor that they start reviewing after deadline. They review by when the app was received. So even if you're a perfect candidate, but they have all spots filled your out of luck. But they will look at every single application. So my guess is that if spots are filled but you're a good candidate they might grant you a spot in the following semester.
This is Katherine's reply to my question
While we review every applicant who completes an application on time equally, we do review as we receive. Meaning if you apply early you will most likely be reviewed sooner. There are only 132 spots to fill, so once the spaces are filled, even if you are competitive, there may be no additional space in the program.
Overall GPA = 3.437
Prereq GPA = 3.09
Science GPA = 2.72
TEAS Test 1:
Composite = 84.7
Reading = 87.2
Math = 100
Science = 72.3
English = 79.2
TEAS Retake:
Composite = 90.7
Reading = 91.5
Math = 100
Science = 85.1
Reading = 83.3
I took almost all of my classes at Texas A&M College Station and have never withdrawn/dropped a class or retaking a class (which I know they look at). My personal statement and resume are both strong. Do y'all think my 90.7% on my TEAS will help me a lot since my GPAs are so low??? Or do I not have a chance?

I emailed UTMB and as long as your application is submitted by the deadline you're fine.
