Hi everyone!
I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!
Yeah Im copying the contents of the email here
"Good afternoon,
As a prospective or new student in our Traditional BSN program, your demographic information was sent to the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) to initiate their clearance process. The BON has informed us that you previously submitted fingerprints, so you do not need to do so again. If you feel this is an error, I urge you to contact the Board of Nursing for clarification at 512-305-7400.
If you have received your BON blue card or Declaratory Order Outcome Letter, please send a copy to my attention by email or fax. If you have misplaced it, please contact the BON for a duplicate copy.
The BON background clearance is a requirement for all Texas nursing schools, and is not an indication of your application status.
If admitted to our program, you will be required to complete a separate background check and drug screen through PreCheck for our clinical sites. This is a time sensitive process and instructions will be included in the New Student Guide sent to you upon your admission.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your BON clearance.
Best regards,
Dora L. Turner"
I'd previously done a background check when I applied to another nursing school, so I think maybe they'll contact you guys to get fingerprinted soon if you haven't already done that.

Before I applied I had a C in both A&Ps and Micro. Before the application was due I had finished retaking A&P1 and was accepted while I was still finishing retaking A&P2 and I still had a C in micro. I explained it in my personal statement as well. So don't give up!
