UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

i thought that at first, but i think it just explains why it took so long to get the interview invitation. if you search for the official facebook page for this class, you can find how many people have been accepted so far (to see how many spots are left)

It's at 101 but that's also including administrators and not factoring people who don't have Facebook or haven't been added yet from the last wave.

Hey guys! So I FINALLY heard something back about an interview. I also hadn't heard anything back since the very beginning so I got extremely anxious. If anyone is still waiting, I know it's hard not to worry, but you will hear something soon!

Yea I just heard back from them with an unexpected interview offer. Months ago they sent a message telling me not to lose hope followed by a rejection letter so I thought fall 2017 was over and done with, but here they are with 2 months left telling me that I've been on their waitlist and would like to offer an interview. Don't know if I should be glad and hopeful or be angry that they're expecting me to uproot my life 1,500 miles away in less than 2 months.

I've been interviewed but haven't heard anything back. Is anyone else in the same boat? If so, are y'all planning on submitting your Spring 2018 applications tomorrow since it's the last day? I feel like they should extend the deadline if they haven't let everyone know their admissions decisions from the last application cycle.

I reapplied yesterday morning which was kinda frustrating because I never received an interview invitation or rejection letter. Is anyone else on the same boat???

I think you can ask them to roll over your application if the deadline passes before they give you an answer.. I'm not a 100% sure though.

I interviewed May 17th and haven't heard anything. I did talk to Ms. Botello yesterday and she said they haven't finished making decisions.

So I interviewed today and it went really well! But for clarification the "waitlist" interview email was to get on the waitlist. I was told in the next 2 weeks I would hear back to confirm I was on the waitlist. Also I was told I would have to wait up until school starts to hear if I could be accepted. I was told there's around 30 people on the waitlist a semester but I don't know where I am on the list. Unfortunately I missed the deadline for spring so I'm really riding in this opportunity! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
