UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

At this point anything can happen but stay positive. My interview came unexpectedly. Their process is very different and takes a little longer.

I also received an invitation for an interview last week but I called to withdraw my name from consideration because I had already decided on another school. I would just keep an eye out if you haven't received one yet.

I'm in the exact same boat :/ at this point I'm expecting a rejection. The waiting is brutal

I would keep your hopes up! i had my application turned in since December and just got an email about an interview last week.

I'm nervous because I already interviewed on March 28 but I haven't heard back about it yet. :/

The lady at the beginning that does introductions said 4-5 weeks. My interviewer says 6-8 weeks. Which was shocking. They both did say it can be soon but they had to say those numbers. We just never know. I'm hoping to find out something in 2 weeks. Wishful thinking maybe.. on the bright side, my interview went well. At least I think it did.

Have you guys turned in your transcripts for the end of spring? Should we if we haven't been rejected?

I'd go ahead and turn them in and notify admissions that you have sent them an updated transcript so your transcript can be noted for the committee discussion.

To be honest the interview process was great but honestly I do wish it took less time to get there. All my documents were submitted in dec/January so I was shocked it took till last week to get an interview invite. I did already accept an offer with LSU already for their Accelerated BSN programs due to the fact that they are one of the best nursing schools in the US and their NCLEX PASS RATE is outstanding. It honestly confuses me as to why it will still take almost 2 months for students to hear if they've been accepted because school starts in August and we are entering June soon.
