UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

-Interviewed 3/13

-Worked as a waitress half time to full time a week throughout college

-Played Rugby 3 years and was the captain and President of the team for 2 years

-TEAS: 80

-A decent amount of community service

FYI, for logging in to mystar.

You've got to connect through their VPN to do so. For those that don't already know this, a VPN is going to put you on UTMB's network from a remote location. Meaning that while you have the VPN active, everything you do online goes through their network. I would make sure to disconnect once you're done on mystar.

Congrats to those of you who have been accepted!!! Hopefully they are still interviewing cause I'm starting to get very nervous

Elizabeth Botello replied to my email saying that they were discussing more applicants on Monday (4/24). She also said that if applicants had been denied, they should've or will receive a letter. I was told that Wednesday (4/28) will be the day she updates the applicants. I haven't received an invitation to an interview yet so I'm not sure if she's updating the applicants that were being considered last Monday or everybody.

Wait I'm confused. If they discussed on Monday and people received acceptances yesterday, should we assume that the rest of us will receive denials? Also today is Wednesday the 26th, so should we have received something today or do you think we should expect it Friday the 28th? Sorry if I sound crazy, I'm starting to lose my mind!

The people who received acceptances yesterday have until May 9 to respond. I have my fingers crossed for you all waiting to interview!
