Hello everyone! I think it's finally time for someone to start a fall thread so here it goes. I am applying to UTHSC and UTMB for fall semester. I gave my teas test today and idk if that score is good enough or not. My GPA is 4.0 and teas individual score is 81. How did everyone else do in their test?
Hey everyone!I figured I'd join the convo since I just submitted my application yesterday. I am excited, but very nervous. Does anyone know where to find your calculated GPA on NursingCAS 3.0? Thank you :)
manage my programs> program status > There will be a blue box that looks like a download button with a downward sign, click that and you will find your calculated GPA there.

Thanks! I don't see exactly where my overall GPA is. It just has a list of all my coursework and everything else I turned in. The arrow after "Materials Received" says "Verifying", so that may be it. They probably haven't calculated it yet.
I have heard that the Fall semester is the hardest to get into, but everyone's stats here look great. I hope we all get in! My stats are ok. I'll be graduating with a BS in Health from Texas A&M this May, and I had a rough freshman year. Here are my stats:
Overall GPA: 3.43
Science: 3.45
Pre-req: 3.6
TEAS: 80% (Science-81% Math-83.3% Language usage-83.3% Reading-76%)
I really had to rush through the reading section. Hopefully I still have a chance. If anything, my personal statement and all my extracurriculars will get me in. Best of luck to everyone!
you are correct! you only need two of your sciences complete. Sorry for the confusion.
Remember everyone, UTMB looks at more than just grades and scores. I talked to one of the admissions advisors and they told me that every semester they have students with 3.4 or 3.3 that get admitted over a 4.0 student due to their passion that was shown in their interview.
Also, yes fall is the most competitive to get in but keep in mind that they also offer guaranteed admission for spring semester if you are a good applicant but they just don't have the spots.
Everyone lets stay positive!

That is so true! I talked to someone in admissions as well to ask about my chances with my low test score and she stated that she's seen applicants with 3.0 and teas scores under 70 get in. It's all about the interview and personal statement because they want to see what kind of person you are not just from an academic standpoint. So that made me feel better and really shows that they give everyone a shot at being accepted
I'm curious about the supplemental application as well. ^^^
My last transcript was finally received today and everything is verifying thru nursing CAS. (I can finally stop biting my nails!!)
I know this question has been asked but how long does it take to verify and get your supplemental app? Thanks loves :)

It took about 3 days to get the supplemental, they send it to you by email. Then after you send it back it takes about another week for them to send you the final email. feel free to look back in this conversation at the dates that I posted when I received everything. (The admissions board has been reviewing my application for 6 weeks now).
I received my supplemental application today. I was starting to worry since today was the 8th day after I submitted my NursingCAS application. I hope I don't have to pay another application fee. Applying for just 1 nursing school isn't cheap. I feel for the applicants applying for every BSN program in Texas.

No you don't need all science classes to be complete to apply. I think you only need 8 credit hours, you can complete the rest before you start the program.
