UTMB FALL 2015

Hello everyone! I think it's finally time for someone to start a fall thread so here it goes. I am applying to UTHSC and UTMB for fall semester. I gave my teas test today and idk if that score is good enough or not. My GPA is 4.0 and teas individual score is 81. How did everyone else do in their test?

I wanted to share for everyone that is still waiting... and that is just as nervous as I am!:

I called UTMB today and asked some questions to clear things up.

1. They are still accepting 120-125. She said they may even be accepting more this semester (Fall 2015).

2. They JUST started reviewing a few weeks ago, so don't be worried if you haven't heard anything. She said that big snow storm up north (where Nursing CAS is located) delayed their process by a few weeks so it is taking longer to review and get back to people.

3. If you have not heard anything up to this point, you're still in the running. They just have not reviewed your application yet.

I hope that makes a few of you feel a little better. I also gave her my stats, and she told me I shouldn't worry. I asked if I might hear in a few weeks, and her response was that she wasn't sure. They do meet every 2 weeks, so it's just a matter of time! I know it's nerve-racking.. I check my email like 10 times a day, so I definitely feel everyone's pain LOL. Thanks for posting! I scored a 96 on the TEAS, have a high GPA, and still haven't heard anything. This does make me feel better. When did you submit your application, and the supplemental app?

I submitted my app at the end of December and my supplemental mid January. I made a 90 on my TEAS and have a 3.9. It's just a matter of time until they make it to our applications so we just have to be patient (which is EXTREMELY hard lol).

TEAS: 90.7

I also got in without an interview so I guess that is possible!

I think you qualify for the Honors program with those stats. You get money!! Or at least they offered that last year for some early acceptances with no interview

Hey guys do I have any hope of getting in with these stats?

Science gpa: 4.0

Overall gpa:3.912

Teas v score: 82

Hospital volunteer hrs: 230

Church volunteer hrs: 540

I had my interview on February 13 and was told it may take 2 to 4 weeks to hear back. But I haven't heard anything back yet.

Sorry, you keep writing February 13 in your posts. Are you sure it wasn't March? :)

Yes, good luck to us! Which school is your top preference though?

Honestly, knowing my luck I either get rejected or waitlisted. Just a story of my life. But I don't give up!

The interview went OK, I think. The faculty is wonderful and friendly. I asked the lady who interviewed me and she said it should not take long to hear back but she couldn't tell the exact date or timeline, unfortunately.
