UTMB Fall 2011 Applicants

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!

I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! :eek: I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....

A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? :uhoh3: What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?

I was rejected from TAMHSC too, I have my interview at UTMB tomorrow! Did anyone apply to TAMU CC?

Hey!

Do you guys know if they are sending rejection letters yet or not? Also, anyone elses mystar acting up and not letting them log in?

I was told by admissions that the rejection letters would go out after all of the acceptance letters by US mail. (end of April/early May)

Thanks! The other thing that worries me, though, is that I submitted my application the 2nd week of January... I got a confirmation e-mail and everything. :/

Did you try emailing them to see if they have your application? I email ***** and she was extremely helpful! I turned mine in early also. :(

If you need to vent or something, feel free to contact me. I understand how worrysome and stressful it can be because same boat and all! *hug*

I got mine in early too, and I was only contacted yesterday. I was starting to get anxious and called - come to find out, they didn't actually have my TEAS scores, so even though mystar said complete - I wasn't and my application had been tossed.

I posted all about it probably 20 pages back :) At any rate, I'd call, especially *****.

Thanks! Yeah I saw your post... but I just assumed they had it because I submitted it through ATI. I called the Enrollment Services office last week to see the status of my app. but they said it was under review right now. They've been telling me that since February. I will contact *****, though, just to double check. Thanks! :)

I'm officially turning down TWU and coming to Galveston, y'all! :) I'm also interested in finding a roommate...I have a cat and like to cook spicy food, FYI. Lol

That gives me hope!! GOOD luck with your interview!!!! My best friend went to TAMU CC but she really just graduated.

I had to resubmit my TEAS score too! I was not happy because it was so expensive.

Maybe we should start a Fall 2011/class of 2013 Facebook group? People have been doing it for other schools, could be a good idea :)
