UTMB BSN Fall 09

Published

I applied o UTMB and still anxiously waiting for a letter for intervciew. has anyone heard anything about the fall 09 application. Has anyone gotten interviews yet?

Hi, I'm new in this website. I just got accepted for bsn in utmb as well. and i'm from Katy. is anyone here consider to live in galveston? i've checked around the dorm, ferry apt, etc . they all full and waiting list start from this Feb because of the Ike. i think it will be a problem. Is anyone here want to find a roommate?

There's a bulliten board inside the door to enrollment services. I saw a few ad's for roomates and such. Check there next time you're there.

Also, I have a friend in the BACC2 program that has size small scrubs with patches (never worn) that she is selling for half price. If interested, let me know here or through the facebook group for UTMB SON Class of Fall 2011.

study buddies sound great for eiler's patho class!! my email is [email protected] & i am also on the facebook utmb page!! can't wait to get this class outta the way!! :)

Bout dorms and apartments... Does anyone know where i can start looking for apartments? I plan on living with a friend of mine. It doesnt have to necessarily be in galveston, maybe clear lake. Any places that you guys can suggest with an affordable price? Maybe just one bedroom. Thanks!

Check out "the breakers" in Texas City. It's not much, but it's cheap and close to the freeway. Furthermore, you'll pay double for a place almost like it in clear lake and with 20-25 minutes more to drive. It's mostly families, old hippies, and COM college students here, a few cops, and a few UTMB employees/ students. There are some bad seeds, but every apartment has them. The management are real a-holes which helps to keep the riff-raff out.

Hey guys! I emailed Dr. Maurstad and she said that she helped Dr. Eilers set up her online course and that yall should enjoy it very much! I took it with her, and she was hard but GOOD and very NICE! READ every single chapter and study the notes if it is the same. Make sure you know clinical features, and focus mainly on the pathology since it is pathophysiology LOL, in other words, do not get hung up so much on normal functions. DO NOT MISS any quizzes or assignments and yall should be good! I made an A!

Oh and one more thing, DO NOT CHEAT, PLAGIARIZE, OR BE ANYWHERE NEAR THAT because you will get an F. Its scary but its happened before to people who didn't even know they were cheating. Only reason I'm mentioning this is because the tests were essay test and when we submit it checks for plagiarism. I have found what they consider to be plagiarism on my work before by checking through the plagiarism website, and it was actually my own words, but apparently, somewhere, sometime, something similar to mine was entered on some database so it popped up as plagiarism! I know we don't cheat, but sometimes it can be accidental!

I will take the patho with Dr. Gilmore in Summer II simply b/c I don't want to make a bad grade. You have to drive to the campus but only study his powerpoints and no need the textbook.

Thanks so much for the info. How were you able to prove your case regarding your work???

I checked before I submitted, so I revised it and changed it before I submitted. There is a website I use to check for plagiarism before I EVER turn in ANYTHING because I have known great students who fail and get and F in the class because the unintentionally plagiarized. Its best to check before submitting anything!

I didn't know such a website exhisted!

wow there are essay questions on the tests?? :/ lol hmmm how long were the tests?? has anyone bought the book yet?? if so how much was it?? plus could you pass on the website for plag. that would be awesome because i certainly don't want to be accused for something. lol
