UTMB BSN Fall 09

I applied o UTMB and still anxiously waiting for a letter for intervciew. has anyone heard anything about the fall 09 application. Has anyone gotten interviews yet?

I am in Texas City close to COM (my wife is a 2nd year RN student at COM). But, I'm thinking about getting a dorm room that I can use for early-morning clinicals, nooners, causeway closures, or quite study. I noticed all the other classes have a FB page, maybe someone could start a UTMB SON 2011 group page. I use FB a lot but I'm not sure how to start a group page.

Sorry for the late update, but my friend of many years and I have also been accepted for Fall 09! Congratulations to everyone! I hear we will be spending a lot of time together these next years, so I'm glad we have begun communication already! Sounds so nerdy, but I am so anxious to learn already! The interview at UTMB sealed the deal for me, as far as my choice for nursing schools. Everyone was so excited to be there to interview students! They were all so friendly and inviting, I was completely impressed! I am so thankful to God for giving us this opportunity! Now we will just work on staying in!

I printed & filled out the paper & mailed it this morning but I just accepted on econnect too lol accepting 2 ways can't hurt. I live in the Pearland area & I think I am going to commute everyday. Hopefully it won't be to bad. Congrats to all!! Can't wait to meet yall!!

I will live in Channelview and I will commuting everyday (it's a long drive, but mostly everything is a long drive from Channelview so I'm used to it). I will be leaving very early though, so I better get my car ready to nap or study in it when I arrive at 6 am LOL

OK, I figured it out. Search FaceBook for "UTMB SON Class of Fall 2011". It's open, but there isn't anything cool yet. I have to go to work soon so I'll work on it tonight.

When I got accepted it took a couple days for e-connect to update...

Congrats to those who got in!!

I actually took my first test today! I think I did pretty good....but the "official" grade hasn't posted yet. I am really happy with UTMB so far.

Congrats on almost completing your first month of nursing school BAZOOKA! Have you started clinicals yet, or when are you supposed to start them??? How many days out of the week do you go to campus for class?

I do not have a FB, I am not much of a fan of social sites anymore LOL, but will y'all really be using it much, I can make one if so, I don't want to be left out!!!

I am so anxious and excited! How many days a week do you go to school and from what time to what time? And how many hours are you in clinicals, from 6am to 3?? Are you in the accelerated or Basic? Please give me any info to quite my nerves!!

OK...so sorry about the screw-up. Ignore the first Facebook page, I think I deleted it anyway. It was the wrong format. Now I've created a group page for us. You should still be able to find it by searching for "UTMB Class of Fall 2011".

Oh, and don't let my "angry" Facebook pic scare you off...I'm really a nice person, LOL.

Go for it, the more the better. It will help us get information out, ask questions, set up study groups, etc. Plus, facebook is better that other sites like MySpace. Not as many "kids" and less pervs/stalking!
