UTMB BSN Fall 09

I applied o UTMB and still anxiously waiting for a letter for intervciew. has anyone heard anything about the fall 09 application. Has anyone gotten interviews yet?

hmm maybe that's why mine isn't working either...i have to take patho this summer...haven't done the CPR training yet, but my friend says its only one day...i also still need to get my TB skin test then I'm done!!!

The problem with econnect may be that SON hasn't updated enrollment services with the accepted list yet, though I AM pulling that straight out of my butt. Did anyone interview early in the morning on the 15th?

that's EXACTLY what I have to do! I'm taking patho this summer online for san jac, you takin it there too? i have to do the cpr and then the skin test and i'm done. July 9 i can REALLY relax!! no stress, no worries, hopefully by then i'll have all the housing and this stuff done!

to iiNurses, I was interviewed at 10 on the 15th. it was very fast, like 15 to 20 minutes. :)

yes! im taking it @ San Jac online too! & yes i can't wait til July 9!!! so we just have to send in the first form to the school saying that we accept & all the rest of the forms can be turned in later???

When I got accepted it took a couple days for e-connect to update...

I actually took my first test today! I think I did pretty good....but the "official" grade hasn't posted yet. I am really happy with UTMB so far.

Yep, at least thats what i understand. The most important thing is the sheet that says you accept. As for the other things, it can be turned in later. The immunization records must be in by july 15 but im going to do that stuff as early as possible to get it over with.

Bazooka, how are the classes? Are they hard? Whats it like?

Right now I am in 3 classes. Health Assessment is a 6 week class. After health assessment we do an ILE class, and begin Adult 1. Right now I am also taking the patho/pharm class, and intro. to professional nursing.

I like how everything is set up. I would say it's important to keep up with the work load, and if you study hard you will be fine. I have only taken one test, so I still have a lot to learn. UTMB likes incorporating group work in the program, which is a little different from what I'm used to. It's good to form study groups, and make lots of friends! You are going to be with the same people through the program, and you will get to know them really well.

Yay! Congrats! I actually physically sent the acceptance form... Are you guys just going to fax and mail the other forms?

Is any one from Houston? If anyone is, are you going to live in Galveston?

I printed & filled out the paper & mailed it this morning but I just accepted on econnect too lol accepting 2 ways can't hurt. I live in the Pearland area & I think I am going to commute everyday. Hopefully it won't be to bad. Congrats to all!! Can't wait to meet yall!!
