Utica University - FNP Online Program

Hi My Fellow Nurses,

My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!

Yeah how is It? I decided Not to start this semester because i didn’t want to take a chance even though It seems like it’ll go through. CCNE told me they have their onsite next September 2020 and a decision will be made a few months after that.

I was considering starting in May I wasn’t sure if they would give me a problem to defer .. they don’t right?

Hey guys so far so good.. I did ask about the accreditation and they said they dont think it will be a problem at all.

Hi ladies and gents..

I had a long talk with a nurse educator who advised me that just because a school is not accredited yet means nothing. 9 times out of 10 they will gain accreditation especially a school as big as Utica College. I just spoke with Utica and they said they expect to have accreditation by May 2021. I also looked up the school in the NYS Dept of Ed. Website and found them listed as an approved FNP school. What do you guys think? I am really considering jumping in for the next registration.

Hi I don’t think so, I also deferred for a semester and I just spoke with them. Registration starts up again in November

Hi !

this is great info ! Thanks for sharing .. I honestly have a good feeling about it. I sent in my fingerprints last Wednesday I am just waiting on that now to hear from them but other than that I think we all wait fo register in November she said

I’m going to do fingerprints this week.. I guess we will be classmates! Lol

Who’s registering tomorrow ?!

also I have to redo my fingerprints they said as apparently they were not clear enough.. annoying ?

OMG, I didn’t do mine yet. I’m going to a place that’s charging me $40 but that’s what they’re known for, fingerprinting. Didn’t you use the precinct? That’s weird!

I did , and the guy was like hopefully these will be ok but if not just Come back , I wish it was the digital ones not the ink what a hassle

I did my prints and they rejected by FBI and now I have to do it again.. I tried the precinct but they were to busy.I'm going back to the same place that did it the first time, because they have to redo it for free.
