Utica University - FNP Online Program

Hi My Fellow Nurses,

My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!

 I know she said the SOOT was 3 points on the final, but changed it to the lowest quiz which does nothing, literally. Im just concerned now the entire class is studying the wrong material, Did Dr.C say she would email all of us for clarification?

She didn’t say. So did ask her what else she recommends to prepare for the final but she hasn’t responded yet 

The final exam in NUR 622 is not cumulative, it is from the midterm forward. I did double-check this. Please also review the final exam get you thinking which confirms this.

The 3 points just goes to your lowest grade of the 3. SO if you did better on the final than say you did the midterm that added points to midterm not the final. Thanks for letting us know its not an accumulative final.

OK I see, it says lowest test/quiz grade so does that mean either the average of the quizzes grade or the midterm grade or the final grade? or just the lowest test in general out of all the tests?

Either way its a lot of miss information that needs clarification.

yes, the 3 of the lowest averages. Quiz average, Midterm, or final. Whatever is the lowest. not if you happened to do bad on 1 quiz and it turns it from a 78 to an 81 for example.

well that's comforting, Thank you so much for this clarification. LOL.

It does well to talk to eachother, the way one person is viewing something maybe different to another. I did not see it that way, but im glad someone helped me with that. and also the final is not cumulative.

Hello, everyone. I am currently taking NUR 604. I am wondering about the 84% on tests, and quizzes policy. Do we need to get 84 percent on both to pass the course?

No just the class overall

I believe its both, the grading is as follows 

Letter Grade
     Percentage Range
   A. 93.5 - 100
   A-   89.5 - 93.49
   B+    86.5 - 89.49
   B   83.5 - 86.49
   F  0 - 83.49

 

you need an 84% on all quizzes and an 84% in the class overall as well.

Would someone who recently completed NUR 634 be willing to share their portfolio and/or the cumulative journal as an example of these assignments? 

 

Also- how difficult was the HESI exit exam, kind of nervous about that one.
